School Teachers wanted

The fast-growing school Russian Edinburgh is looking for teachers - native speakers of Russian - to work with children from both Russian-speaking and bilingual families. The school currently needs teachers at the primary as well as the secondary level.

Job requirements

Enthusiasm, love for and desire to work with children are essential, as well as professional education and high standards of work, willing to learn new skills, reliability, good interpersonal skills.A university degree or pedagogic qualification is essential.

Experience of working with children  would be an advantage, though not necessary. Residents of the UK with working permit.

Work conditions

The school operates on each Saturday on school term dates between 10am - 12.45pm. The pupils' age vary from 2 to 16 years old. The taught subjects include Russian language and literature, arts and crafts, language games etc.

Start of employment is on a need-arising basis. Personal circumstances and preferences will be taken into consideration.

Russian as Foreign Language Classes

Russian Edinburgh school offers Russian as a foreign language for learners of all levels. Classes run on Saturdays and are taught by professional teachers who provide interactive programs at high pitch. 

Parents and guardians of Russian Edinburgh pupils are welcome to the classes during the children learning times. They also benefit from the additional discount.

All pupils get access to Russian Edinburgh Google based Virtual Learning Environments to support distance learning and provide additional support for learning. They also get access to the school's extensive Russian library.

The classes have demonstrated successful performance. Thus, adult learners from the Russian intermediate group has won top prizes in the National Russian Essay completion organised by Association of Language Learning in 2009 and 2010.
